Los Nuevos Charros Mexican Restaurant

5 Stars – Absolutely Phenomenal! From the moment we walked in, the service at this Mexican restaurant was impeccable—warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Every staff member went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. The food? Simply outstanding. Every dish was bursting with authentic flavor, from the perfectly seasoned tacos to the rich, savory mole. The ingredients were fresh, the presentation was beautiful, and the portions were generous. Whether you’re a longtime fan of Mexican cuisine or new to it, this place will blow you away. It’s rare to find a restaurant that nails both service and food at such a high level. Highly, highly recommended!

We love to support local new business and this restaurant was amazing! Sergio and the servers were so nice and the food was incredible! I had the Shrimp with garlic and onions, my husband had the Shrimp with jalepinos. We both absolutely loved our meals! The shrimp were large and moist and so tasty! A friend recommended Los Nuevos Charros and I agree and highly recommend this restaurant! Please note -they are new and having difficulty hiring servers but we only had a 5 minute wait and they were apologetic-we felt they did a great job with communication! Please support this great restaurant!

Food was solid outside of the veggie fajitas which got poor marks. Margaritas were lovely, but unfortunately the service was quite dismal. Saw our waitress twice the entire time -- once to take our order and then at the end when she delivered the check. No inquiries into whether we wanted more drinks or our waters refilled. Certainly worth stopping in to try, but plenty of room for the restaurant to improve execution.

Let’s get the most important part of the review out of the way. Food was very good. Fresh in house salsa and chips were great. We had the ribeye taco and shrimp and steak burrito. Both had full flavor and right temperature. Only reason for the four star was service really needs improvement. But, being new and all, they surely will improve. Over all great experience.

Glad to see a Mexican restaurant open in Calabash. I have had so many dishes here as you can tell and never disappointed. 5 Stars Everyday

We had heard good reviews about this restaurant and decided to give it a try. Glad we did! The service and food was great! They had a fajitas dish with chicken and chorizo. Probably the best fajitas I've had in this area. Also added a small side of guacamole to the order and it came out in the cutest dish. They have a great menu and we are looking forward to coming back again soon!

Arrived at 515pm on a Saturday. About 25 tables and 8 barstools here. About half were filled when we got there and there were people waiting when we left with a full dinning room on Memorial Day weekend. Plenty of staff on hand for the evening. Service was good. Food was good. Atmosphere was good. Pricing was perfect. Dinning room and bathroom were clean. However, this restaurant is pretty much located at the end of the world and finding everything needed to wow me with authentic Mexican food is miles away from here. I applaud this restaurant for doing it. Literally, for where this restaurant is they're doing an amazing job. We'll be back as we travel to calabash about three times a year. I would suggest trading in the Jaritos Mandarin for Mango. I believe the Mango is one of the best soft drinks on the planet.

A nice local Mexican restaurant with great food! The portions were large and I ordered Enchiladas Mexicanas and hot salsa for the chips that did not disappoint! And yes, they have their liquor license now!
